Tour mood
Given the multiple transfers and accommodations, a backpack is necessary, leave those suitcases at home! We also recommend you bring warm clothes for the desert, considering the extreme temperature range between day and night.
Physical effort
The trip won’t involve any strenuous physical activity, just some simple walks around the city centres; in the desert however, it can become a bit more challenging wading through the sand!

COMMON QUESTIONS
No! Drones are BANNED in Morocco. If you bring a drone to Morocco, you will not be able to get it back. More information here.
First, to change money anywhere in Morocco, you will need to provide your passport. The exchange rate at the airports is not the best. It’s common that at the airport, instead of cash they will give you a special temporary bank card.
My advice, change some part of the cash at the airport and the rest in the city or use your bank card. There are many ATM’s in all cities, and you will save a hustle carrying a lot of cash. And always check the change!
In the Marrakech Menara airport, next to the luggage pick-up place, you will find a few companies selling Moroccan SIM cards (also will need to provide your passport). Last time I saw Orange and Inwi booths. I would go for Orange.
Don’t forget to insert the new SIM card on the spot and ask for assistance to top it up.

HOW TO GET FROM MARRAKECH AIRPORT TO THE CITY CENTER?: To get from the Marrakech airport to the Marrakech centre (I call centre the Medina/old town), you can use a public shuttle bus, private airport transfer or a taxi.
Bus: The airport bus line 19 operates from 6.30 a.m. to 11.30 p.m. The bus leaves from the stop located after the parking lot. The price is 30 MAD one way and 50 MAD to return (around 3&5 euros).
Taxis : After leaving the Marrakech airport building, find the stairs that lead to the taxis place. There is an employee redirecting travellers to the empty taxis. He will show you the available driver. Small taxis circulate within city boundaries only and can take only 3 people. Big, Grand Taxis can seat up to 6 people.
Taxi drivers at the airport rarely take you for 70 MAD, so 100 MAD is a good bargain. Often taxi drivers will tell you that your hotel/riad is far from the airport, but it’s not true. Most of the riads are located in the old town, Medina.
Negotiate the fare before boarding the taxi, and remember this rule for any taxi ride in Marrakech. It’s common to experience that without asking first, the taxi driver takes your luggage and travellers don’t have time to negotiate. Never step into the taxi before negotiating the price.
