Morocco uses the Moroccan Dirham, usually written as MAD or DH. This is the currency you’ll use for most local payments during the trip.

💶 Should I bring euros?

We recommend bringing some euros in cash, as they are easy to exchange locally. In many cases, exchanging money in Morocco offers better rates than exchanging before departure.

💳 Cash and card

Cards are accepted in many hotels, restaurants, and larger shops, but cash is still very important, especially for markets, small shops, tips, taxis, and remote areas like the desert.

🏧 ATMs and exchange

ATMs and exchange offices are available in major cities such as Marrakech and Agadir. Your Info Pack will include destination-specific money tips before departure.
