Sahara Expedition
Quick Answer
Morocco enjoys a warm climate for most of the year, but temperatures can vary significantly depending on the season and region. Expect hot days, cool nights, and plenty of sunshine.
☀️ Warm and sunny
Morocco is known for its sunny weather. During spring and autumn, daytime temperatures are usually very pleasant, while summer can be extremely hot, especially inland and in the desert.
🏜️ Desert temperatures
If you’re joining the Sahara Expedition, be prepared for changing temperatures:
Daytime: 25–40°C (depending on the season)
Night: Can drop to 5–15°C, especially in the desert
We recommend packing both light clothing for the day and warm layers for the evening.
🏔️ Different regions, different weather
Morocco has a diverse climate:
Marrakech & inland: Hot and dry
Sahara Desert: Very hot during the day, cool at night
Atlantic Coast (Agadir, Essaouira): Milder temperatures with refreshing ocean breezes
Atlas Mountains: Cooler, especially at higher altitudes
🎒 Pack for all conditions
Bring lightweight clothes, comfortable shoes, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a light jacket or hoodie for the evenings. A detailed packing list will also be included in your Info Pack before departure.
